Welcome to Absolutely Amazing Parties! We’re a family-run children’s entertainment company based in Nottingham, bringing fun, professional and memorable party experiences to families across the East Midlands. We cover Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Mansfield, Lincoln and the surrounding areas.

Since 2013, we’ve supported families and organisations by providing character entertainers, children’s discos, UV glow parties and entertainment for corporate events and fun days.

How It All Began

Hi, I’m Jayne Darling, founder of Absolutely Amazing Parties. It all began in 2013 when my twin daughters asked for a Princess Belle party for their 6th birthday. I had no idea what I was doing, but I bought a costume and wig, and gave it a go! I performed as The Singing Princess – and from that first party, the idea took off.

What started as a one-woman show has now grown into a busy little business with 15 to 20 brilliant freelance entertainers helping bring characters to life across Nottinghamshire and beyond. My husband Darren helps with the day-to-day, with last-minute sewing saves from my mum, Elaine, and all things fixing handled by my dad, Patrick.

While I’ve stepped back from dressing up as a princess, Darren and I still run our popular children’s discos and UV glow parties, which we love.
