Absolutely Amazing Parties are a family run, Nottingham based children’s party and event company providing fabulous Character entertainment across the East Midlands including Nottingham, Lincoln, Mansfield, Leicester, Derby and beyond

“I’m Jayne and I started Absolutely Amazing Parties back in 2013. There was no plan, no big idea just my twin daughters asking for a Princess party for their 6th Birthday.

The Princess we agreed on was Belle and I duly set about ordering my first costume and wig having absolutely no idea what I was doing! I had never been to a Princess party before so it was on a wing and a prayer organising the very first one but the foundations were there.

The company back then was just me as The Singing Princess and as the business grew to include other characters I quickly rebranded as Absolutely Amazing Parties.

From our humble beginnings we now have a lovely, thriving small business – we’ve performed at thousands of events and parties and have a team of between 15 and 20 freelance entertainers bringing your child’s favourite characters to life across Nottingham and the surrounding areas.

I still handle the day to day running along with my husband Darren and admin help from Princess Emily, our emergency seamstress Elaine (My Mum) and Patrick’s repair shop (my Dad). Apart from the odd emergency I retired from Princessing myself some time ago now however Darren and I still run children’s Disco’s and UV Glow parties which we absolutely love.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful 2 week break in Cornwall with the twins (Isobel and Carys now 16), my step daughter Rebecca (also 16) and my step son Zack. The girls will all be forging ahead to 6th form after the holidays.

It’s with huge thanks to all of those families who have trusted us to deliver birthday parties for their little ones, the companies who have engaged us to run everything from discos to meet and greets and of course to our wonderful entertainers who create magic and memories every weekend.

As parents, we know how stressful planning and running a party can be so our focus is on delivering a personal service and making the entertainment aspect straight forward. We are able to run the whole party for you – arriving around 30 minutes before your guests to start creating our magic and getting everything in place.

During the party, your entertainment is taken care of from start to finish. We bring everything with us to enthral and entertain your child including music and lighting, bubble machine, games and prizes, a Coronation ceremony for your child plus much more.
